Life was much easier when Apple and Blackberry were just fruits.

I'm so excited for the next few days I can hardly contain myself! Friends visiting for a couple of days of catch ups and partying, a festival over the weekend and my new car being delivered.

In other news, I'm thinking about this blog and why I actually write it. It started off as a way to share things with friends in more detail rather than just writing a facebook status every time I eat a piece of toast/buy some shoes (I hate it when people do that!) and I started adding photos, videos and things I love along the way. I'm always careful not to make it too personal because although I want to share things, I do think there is such a thing as too much sharing! I tend to end up posting about fashion more than anything else because it's something I love, it's down to individual style and taste and it won't offend, upset or come across as preaching to anyone! However, I do sometimes think that just posting about fashion makes me come across as quite a one dimensional person when I'm really not! There are plenty of other things I'm interested in but time/energy always seems to dictate what I write about. I decided I don't want to post tons of pictures of my friends on a blog because anyone could search it so I'm keeping facebook for pictures and blogging for rambles. I also don't really want hundreds of pictures of me on here either for the same reasons so I'll be limiting those too. I do want people to read the blog and I really like it when people comment or send me a message about reading it but I don't want my face and private life to be splashed about all over the place! Anyway, that was a really long-winded way of saying that I'm reconsidering the blog and what to put in it.

Like I said earlier, I have a busy couple of weeks coming up followed by the return to work which will inevitably lead to my prolific list-making, marking and organisational skills coming back into full force. I've enjoyed the summer holidays but I do feel quite bereft without a structure to each day!

While I take a break from blogging I'll be working hard, hoping I manage to drive my little car around safely and making sure I appreciate my friends and get the work/life balance right! It wouldn't be my blog if I didn't add hundreds of pictures to wrap it up. Here you go.

If you just can't keep away from me then here is my Tumblr and Twitter!
See you soon xx

I LOVE #1

Friday for me consisted of kfc in the sunshine, road trips and blasts from the past. Sometimes I forget to appreciate the simple things in life and times like this remind me that I should make the most of every single day (no matter how comfy my bed is!)

LOVES

♥ White chocolate
♥ Bright nail varnish
♥ Loud bass (as ear damaging as possible)
♥ Hugs from friends
♥ Cheese sandwiches
♥ Managing to avoid a massive downpour of rain and watching it from inside
♥ Bright blue anything
♥ Getting mystery packages in the post
♥ Not having to set the alarm
♥ Long rambling phone calls and conversations about nothing in particular
♥ Wearing too much jewellery
♥ Finding old photos and letters
♥ Ridiculously bright flowers
♥ Fairy lights
♥ The XX
♥ Eating buttercream icing out of the bowl. Naughty!

Not long until the return to work so the plan is to squeeze in as much fun as I can between then and now. A few nights out with good friends and a festival should do the trick! Here's hoping that our camping experience is a bit more successful this time round. We just about managed to assemble a pop-up tent last time and could not for the life of us get it flat again when it was time to leave. We still blame it on the fact that we were up a tall hill in a rainy, windy Wales and the tent just wanted to fly away! It resulted in me lying across the tent on the floor with Rosie trying to fold it around me. Classy ladies as ever. We are attempting the full three days this time so we're going to stock up on dry shampoo and cider to see us through! Any advice from hardened festival goers is welcomed!

A few observations which have been stuck in my head all day:

Do Jedward themselves actually know which is which?
How do I manage to injure myself in some form every day?
Whatever KFC gravy is made with concerns me...
How many people am I going to delete from Facebook/Twitter for repeated mentions of Big Brother?
Same as above for football related statuses.

Glitter and Trauma

Here are a few things I'm currently loving and thought I'd share...

1. My new car! Can't wait to whiz around in it! Any ideas for new car nicknames?

2. Jessie J's new song 'Who's laughing now?' - Great song, great video, great message.

3. One Day coming out at the cinema. I read the book recently and loved it although the trailer seems to focus mostly on the romantic aspects of it so I guess I'll see how different it is!

4. My number four is a blog written by a girl I know called Rose. Not only is she a fantastic photographer, cook and blogger but she is also ridiculously beautiful. Her recent post about the London riots really gets across everything I would want to say so I thought I might aswell just point you in her direction as she has it all covered! Go and check out The Londoner

5. Strawberry Fields Festival! I have blogged about this before but it's getting closer now and excitement levels are on the increase! Any festival that has a sound system made out of a boat gets the thumbs up from me! Can't wait!

LISTENING TO #14

"Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about those who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would most likely be worth it."

Wilderness Festival

I just discovered this little festival gem and thought I'd share.
Wilderness Festival is in Oxfordshire and described as 'A celebration of the arts and outdoors in the wilds of England'.

The illustration (above) is what grabbed me so I went in search of the website and found that it's just as beautiful. This isn't your typical festival. It has music, banquets, talks and debates, theatre and art, a spa, boating, an astronomy area and it looks amazing! They also give the option of 'Boutique Camping' - a more luxurious version of camping, it involves a variety of different camping experiences, nice hot showers and a much improved festival experience. Who genuinely wants to sleep on a solid floor and use a portaloo?! Anyway, my words can't explain just how pretty this festival looks! Here are some pictures I've taken from the website. Hope they don't mind!

I can't afford to buy a ticket this year but it's definitely on my wishlist for next year!
