Sunday scribbles

I'm just about to start a mammoth work session but I thought I'd blog quickly before I do. I've had another lovely weekend involving films, food and general lazing. Steak, salad and sweet potato mash is the perfect Saturday night meal - not too bad for you but just enough to satisfy cravings for naughty food. I've also watched Up and Sexy Beast this weekend. They're two completely different films but I loved both of them. I've seen Up before and can't help feeling a little choked in the opening scenes.

I also took delivery of my new camera. Really looking forward to some photo opportunities cropping up!

A few weeks ago I wrote about my stylistpick favourites and how I could only afford to buy one. I went for the boots (which I love) but wished I'd also been able to buy the oversized clutch bag. This week they made everything half price so obviously I went and bought the bag. It felt like fate! Can't wait for that and my new Mulberry to arrive so I can show them off.

I've also been trying to eat much more healthily and have been following advice from The Londoner and her idea of the Anti Diet. I've given up fizzy drinks and takeaway things and I've also been learning to recognise the difference between 'emotional' hunger and physical hunger. I'm one of those people that tends to eat whatever is infront of them and then feel guilty afterwards! Anyway, I've not lost weight yet but I definitely feel like I have more energy and feel healthier in general. As it says on the blog, it's not a fad diet, it's a lifestyle change and I'm hoping I'll be able to keep up with it. I even managed to watch an entire pepperoni pizza being eaten and I only gave into one slice of pepperoni! The best thing I've discovered is that if you're eating out in pubs or wherever then most places will give you a smaller portion or you can have a starter and dessert instead of the bigger meals. 2012 is going to be a healthy year!
