FASHION FIX #2

Vintage Chic Sweethearts Necklace
£20.00
Kist Jewellery
As most people know by now, I'm a massive shopaholic. When I'm not spending, I'm planning what I can buy next and scouring the internet for new things. A bit like a shopping magpie.  I love vintage style jewellery and anything with a touch of romance so I had a look for some of my favourites and thought I'd share so everyone can find these beauties a little easier. Gold chains and a bit of sparkle always add a summery feel to an outfit (even if it's raining outside). I'm on the lookout for a creamy dress to wear with some gorgeous golden accessories and some killer heels.
Here are some of my favourites:

LISTENING TO #1

Sleep is escaping me tonight so I'm filling the hours with music and my own little thoughts. One of my friends is at latitude and she called earlier so I could hear The XX down the phone. I love that band more than I love floral patterns and cupcakes (and that is LOTS). So here I am listening to Heart Skipped a Beat and feeling a little wistful about the past. They say music cleanses the soul and I guess I agree; you have to be broken down before you can build back up again. Whoever 'they' are, they're usually right.

My blogs are usually filled with pictures and pretty things to please the eye but tonight it doesn't really fit my mood so I'm afraid it will mostly be full of my ramblings (think Carrie Bradshaw but without the fabulous clothes and apartment). Talking of apartments, I have been on the lookout for pretty things for my new house and came across some absolute wonders on the Urban Oufitters website. I especially love the 'vanity' section which is full of delicate jewellery stands, decorative mirrors and cute photo frames. I might have to indulge in a few presents for myself.

Ok... just one picture:

Bird Hook - Urban Outfitters

I'm going to try to drift off to sleep with the sounds of this band in my ears. I hope other people love them just as much as I do.

Purrrrrr.

I've blogged about Gaga a few times now but she's just done a new photo shoot and it's got me interested because once again, it's a bit odd...

As you can probably see, it's a Hello Kitty theme and she's gone full whack with the crazy eyes and a dress made entirely of kitties. I've always found Hello Kitty stuff interesting as it's so cute and kitsch, not sure I would choose to dress in it though! It did get me thinking about their merchandise though so I had a quick scan across tinternet ...

Below are a few things from a Hello Kitty website:

Top left to bottom right: (Bag, ladle, lunchbox, bag, post-it notes, purse)

If you're a lover then go to the website and have a look.

I used to love Hello Kitty when I was younger but I think I'm a bit too old now. Still love the post-it notes though!

While I'm writing about some seriously old skool things, I think Fawlty Towers definitely qualifies for some viewing.

I know nothing!

Tuesday 6 July 2010

Pieces.

12 packets of quavers, 9 hours driving, 4 albums on repeat, 2 girls and 1 very dodgy tent.

We did it.  Rather than write too much about it, I thought it would be better to show some pictures and let you decipher the madness for yourself!

My favourite ♥

Pizza Express time

 Chase and Status rocking it
VIP guest tent

Meeting Zippy
Happy camper the next day

We had an amazing time, plenty of cider, so much raving we hurt our arms and not enough sleep but it was totally worth it! Not only did I win the tickets, but they got upgraded to VIP when we arrived. We spent most of the time in the Misadventures tent watching Kissysellout, Zane Lowe, Tinie Tempah and Chase & Status (with Plan B).

What a weekend! One of the highlights....

Wakestock 2010 ♥

Friday 2 July 2010

From platform to welly...

Me and Rosie.

Now it's fair to assume that we are not camping girls. BUT this weekend we are going to embrace our inner festival-goer and head to Wakestock Festival in Wales. I never win anything, but for once, I did! KissySellOut's record company were giving away tickets and all you had to do was write on their facebook wall and finish this sentence...

"If I was put in charge of the Hadron Collider
& asked to smash the atoms of 3 cult film characters together
at unimaginable speeds to create a MOVIE SUPER-BEING, the 3 peeps I
wud obviously chose are...........

(Doing my best to ignore the spelling errors, I wrote...)

Mr Blonde (Reservoir Dogs), Edward Scissorhands and Mia Wallace (Pulp Fiction) - scary, funky and sexy all in one! Just what you need.

... and I won!

So we are off tomorrow on the four hour drive to this...

Wish us luck!
