'I like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet' - SATC

I love collaborations in fashion, tv, music and make up. Perfect for lazy people like me who love all these things and enjoy having it all in one place. Collaborations have popped up all over the place recently with the new Sex and the City film coming out and new series of tv shows linking directly into fashion.

I literally cannot wait for SATC2 to arrive on our screens and I'm checking out everything on the internet, including the trailer...

'Sometimes, you just have to get away with the girls'

Below is a screen grab from SATC2 and Boohoo's tribute collection. I will definitely be buying from this. Love the body top with the sheer middle, heeled gladiator shoes and harem trousers.

Gaga and Cyndi Lauper with Mac. Perfection. I NEED some of this lipstick in bright colours.

Here's Gossip Girl and Miss Selfridge. I am obsessed with Gossip Girl but I think Miss Selfridge could have done better with this collection. The models could look like the characters to add to the theme and the clothes don't look as luxurious as they could. I was expecting lots of metallics, nudes and whites for Serena and rich colours and textures for Blair. Vanessa wears lots of greens, browns and muted tones. I will still be having a scan through to see what I can find.

Check out the Sex and the City fashion feature in Marie Claire if you fancy some more fashion love

You've left me speechless

Lady Gaga. She's nuts but that's why I (and the rest of the nation) love her.

I thought I'd post this video because I've been listening to it on repeat. Love the song, the hair, the dress, the shoes, the sentiment. Beautiful talent.

Off to see her at the end of the month so I'm busy finding outfits, shoes and make up to complete the look. Will update further when I have some more ideas. Here is one look I may not be brave enough to attempt!

Passing the time

I'm not feeling too great at the moment but I need to keep myself busy so I thought the best thing to do would be to blog away all of my thoughts until I have nothing left to talk about.

I like to read the news everyday so I often find interesting things I want to talk about and discuss with people. Today the new London 2012 Olympic Mascots popped up so I decided to look further into it and see what they were all about. It was the image that grabbed me first, as they are computer generated mascots, very different to the 'traditional' mascot we are used to. Just goes to show how important technology has become.

Here is a screen grab of the 2012 website:

They're a very similar style to Pixar characters which I think has been done very deliberately to create appeal. Pixar have been incredibly successful using their mix of computer generated characters with feelings and emotions within films. The characters not only appeal to small children, but also to adults as they are cute and humorous. I think this was probably the thinking behind the 2012 mascots. Cute, but made out of steel.

The website shows a small movie about the characters (Wenlock and Mandeville) and how they evolved into the 2012 mascots. It plays on the emotions at the beginning and does get you hooked, however the ending was a little bit too cheesy for me! Rainbows and prancing off into the distance is a bit too much in my opinion. Anyway, have a look and see what you think of the mascots. Try and ignore the fact that the logo looks like Lisa Simpson doing something dodgy...

In other news, I had a perfect weekend. It's a shame it came crashing down. I do want to recommend Beautification in Nottingham as the mud therapy massage I had was amazing and I would have that every week if possible. I know I could do with another one. I will be going there with a few friends for my birthday so I'm currently trying to decide which treatments I want...

* Dermalogica spa facial
* Relax back, neck & shoulder massage
* Jessica prescriptive manicure
* Jessica Zen Spa pedicure
* St Tropez spray tan
* Tranquility scalp, face, neck & shoulder massage
* Full body exfoliation therapy

They all sound so good, I can't choose.

Food, fashion and pampering ♥

While everyone is talking about politics and the state of the country, I thought I would keep it light and talk about fashion. The latest thing I've seen is this page on ASOS.com with a feature about Tamsin Egerton (St Trinians and general stunner). It interested me first of all because it says she has 'classic style' and shows her wearing certain pieces alongside things you can buy to 'get the look'. I've always been a fan of classic with a twist so thought I'd have a look.

As well as having a full interview with the star, there is also a video which features quotes from her and a few photos with a great soundtrack. I really like her style and the layout and multimodal elements of this page made me search further. So many things I want to buy...

Tamsin Egerton - watch the video

A few of the pieces I've got my eye on...

In other news, I will be working all summer teaching Spanish kids and then begin at my new school in September. Exciting times! I also have a fun weekend ahead courtesy of my brilliant boyfriend.

I will be spending my Saturday afternoon having an hour long mud massage here:

Followed by a beautiful meal and drinks at Le Bistrot Pierre and then onto a hotel.

Here's a little snippet of the menu. It looks delicious! Have a look on the website for more info. It's making my mouth water just thinking about it...

I am scouting around for my birthday events and will be using Beautification again if it's good. Me and a big group of friends want a package of treatments so I will see how it goes.

Got a slow few weeks ahead so will try to blog as often as possible. xx
