Pastel Blues

Pastels are everywhere at the moment so I thought I'd embrace it too. I'm not really a pastel clothing girl but I'm definitely not against a few spring type accessories. These are my favourite picks from ASOS. The new save and shop list on there is such a good idea! The items do disappear after a while though...

I know number 1 isn't technically a pastel shade but I couldn't resist having it in my top five. I love the shell-like pattern and the simple chain. It could be worn on its own with a dress or piled up with lots of chains.

I've been looking at the bracelet (number 2) for ages. It's part of the disney couture collection on ASOS and I think it has the right mix of cute and classy.

The mint green watch is on my list for next piece of jewellery. My watch is definitely on the way out and I could do with a new one. This is the perfect update without being too expensive!

Number 4 has been on my wanted list for a while too and I'm fighting the urge to buy it. I think if it was a liiiitttle bit cheaper then I would have gone for it but the price is keeping me at bay for a while. I just think it would look so pretty with a white dress in the summertime.

Finally, the yellow bag is the type of bag I always look at. Plain, structured and big enough to fit in all of my things. I have lots of things. No really, it's ridiculous. I think I need to do some serious make up and bag item downsizing.

The title of this blog post not only relates to the colour scheme (obviously) but also to the Nina Simone album I've been listening to recently.

You might recognise this one...

My Stylistic Boutique

When I found My Stylistic Boutique on twitter and got talking to Jen, I was lucky enough to choose a piece to feature from her gorgeous necklace collection. I went for the antique crystal wing necklace and it fits in nicely with my already generous jewellery collection.

It was much bigger than I expected it to be but I think I actually prefer it like that. It makes it more of a statement necklace. The wing itself is about the size of my palm and it has loads of detail on the area which would be the feather. I love the crystals too because they're not overdone or tacky, they just add to the antique style and give it that extra something. The necklace looks like something you would buy in Topshop (but for much more money!) I'm all for independent companies and wearing something that wasn't mass produced so I'm really glad to have this piece to add to my other necklaces.

Jen currently has a 50% off sale on all necklaces so they're either £5 or £10 each - get them quick! She will also be getting some new stock in for summer, including rings and bracelets so I'll be keeping an eye out for those too.

If you want to snap up one of these pieces then click here to go to the shop. You can also follow Jen on twitter at @MyStylisticBou
