LISTENING TO AND STYLE CRUSH

No television series aimed at young people is complete without a soundtrack full of attitude and Gossip Girl is no exception. Here are a few tracks from the show before I hit you with the fashion:

Another reason I love Gossip Girl is the fashion. Alongside the storylines, the beautiful characters and the music; it is the fashion that keeps people watching to see what they will wear next. Each character has a different type of style to fit their personality and I've enjoyed seeing their clothes change across the series.

Blake Lively is just as stylish off screen as she is when playing Serena (above). Her character is a hopeless romantic who never knows what she wants. I can definitely sympathise with that! Blake's red carpet style is all about the glamour. With a body like that who can argue?!

Blake will be playing a very different character in upcoming film 'The Town' and I'm already excited to see the film. Not only does it look great but it will be interesting to see if I can watch her in something else without associating her with Gossip Girl.

FASHION FIX #4

Am I going on holiday this year? No. 

Why? Because I have spent all of my money on clothes, shoes, bags, seeing friends, nice food and drinks. I don't regret that one bit. I can holiday next year!

I think Interrailing is the way forward so saving will begin from September and then during the 6 weeks holiday, I'm off into the unknown! For anyone who hasn't heard of Interrailing, basically it involves buying a train ticket for across Europe. Depending on the type of ticket, you can go to as many or as few places as you want and stop off along the way whenever you want. You can go to up to 30 european countries - nice.

My taste in bags might have to change somewhat if I'm going backpacking around Europe, but for now I'm going to continue lusting over a few beauties I've had my eye on.

Skulls are also back in but in a more glamorous way than before. Love these Alexander Mcqueen wonders!

When it's cold outside I'm not too keen on wearing bright colours but I want a bright bag to cheer me up when the weather is miserable...

Bags by Chloe are gorgeous and no matter what season it is, I always want one! Shades of red are also particularly 'in' this season so I really love this bag in particular.

And then everyone needs a big black leather bag as a staple buy plus a sparkly clutch to keep things exciting. Yummy....

These bags are a bit on the pricey side so I'm going to be looking around for cheaper alternatives but I just thought I'd share their beauty! The football season starts today so the more I surround myself with pretty things, the more I can block out football talk.

Maybe it's time I found a glamourous rucksack for my travels?
